Transregional Training Programme for Professional Education of Basic Education Professionals

For the first time, in 2016 - 2017 partner organizations in the MIKA network were jointly offering a training programme on teaching literacy/basic education to adults.

The organizations that make up MIKA offered modules at their respective locations in order to reach interested parties in southern and western Austria in particular with a professional educational programme that is oriented to the FEA curriculum. To ensure the greatest possible participation, some modules were offered several times on different locations.

The training programme prepared participants to work with migrants whose second language is German as well as with people whose first language is German. This programme included professional development modules that can be booked individually as well as an integrated observation model. The training programme consisted of around 150 contact hours, eLearning segments and assignments to be completed as homework, and a mandatory internship (total workload about 260 hours).
